Shinagawa Ward is located in the southern part of Tokyo, south of Minato and Meguro wards, and north of Ota Ward. To the east lies Tokyo Bay. It is one of Tokyo’s major commercial and residential areas, characterized by numerous ports and luxurious buildings. Additionally, near the center of Shinagawa Ward, you can also find tranquil residential areas with many medium to low-rise apartments and detached houses. Shinagawa Ward satisfies the needs of many residents in terms of transportation and daily life, making it a highly popular residential area.
Highlights of the Ward
Due to its proximity to Tokyo Bay, Shinagawa Ward has historically been a base for transportation and trade, as evidenced by the ancient shell mounds called Omori Kaizuka. Today, around Tennozu Isle Station, you can find numerous ports and upscale high-rise residencial buildings. Oimachi Station, Togoshi Station, and Musashi-Koyama Station in Shinagawa Ward offer peaceful residential environments.
